Yes. I do believe GMO's are safe however they should be labeled just in case new scientific research finds a health risk down the line.

 @9RK5HW7Socialist  from New York  answered…11mos11MO

No, and ban food labels claiming 'non-gmo' or 'gmo free'. Additionally, there should be public education campaigns to destigmatize GMOs.

 @9KXD9B8Democrat from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

Consumers must know what is in their food. I also support the idea of not allowing producers to be able to patent foods.

 @9HRMJF6Democrat from Arizona  answered…1yr1Y

YES. All food should be accurately labeled. However, the public is largely ignorant about what GMO means, so we need a national education campaign to enable consumers and voters to make more informed decisions. Companies that profit from producing GMO products should be barred from attempting to influence public opinion about it, but they should be required to fund the public educations campaign, which should be formulated by an independent body that includes consumers and voters.

 @9HGQ62RDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I do not care how GMO food is labeled. GMOs are a good thing, but some people don't understand that.

 @9GQCSJRDemocrat  from Georgia  answered…2yrs2Y

Consumers have a right to know how their food was produced; producers should not be allowed to patent; while I trust the science of responsible food engineering, food companies are not always honest.

 @9DVVVQ5Democrat from New Hampshire  answered…2yrs2Y

No, Our wheat and corn have been corrupted for years. So it is just a worthless marketing ploy

 @9DRWB5DDemocrat from Florida  answered…2yrs2Y

 @9DPW8FLDemocrat from Kansas  answered…2yrs2Y

GMOs are less scary than people think, I don’t really care if my food is genetically modified, most food is at this point anyway.

 @9DLF95MSocialist from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes but people shouldn't have an immediate response to thinking GMOs are bad

 @9DKYK4MDemocrat from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

The US' food is terrible for you and most chemicals are banned in other countries. The US wants us sick so they can charge us for terrible Healthcare

 @9D8PNZZSocialist from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

I think it is up to the store owner, but I think he/she would get more sales if they did

 @8QVNHFZDemocrat from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but ban and regardless, producers should not be allowed to patent foods

 @8FCHWT2Socialist from North Carolina  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9VSX73XDemocrat from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, and the genetic specific modification should be classified/categorized, because I trust the science of responsible food engineering but I don’t trust the motives of the food companies selling them

 @9JCFC9MDemocrat from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and no. We do need all the information about our foods, but the stigma of GMO isn't where it ends. Allergens, processes, etc are probably more important. Not suppressing safety info and testing is much more important. GMO on its own isn't an issue.

 @9J2KLZ9Democrat from Alabama  answered…1yr1Y

I don't really care about GMOs because it seems to me anyone who cares about GMO's are nutjob conspiracy theorists. But at the same time it would be good to know exactly what is in the food or if it is genetically modified. So yes more transparency.

 @8V3VSXBDemocrat from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but I believe it should be safe first instead of consuming proving it is safe to eat.

 @9B96S5QDemocrat from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but I prefer GMOs to be banned. Although, the researchers should be allowed to conduct research in their labs.

Yes, but we need to educate consumers and undo the stigma placed on GMOs.

 @96H9FHJSocialist from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

either way we will eat it because the world can eat anything at this point

 @96GQQ9RSocialist from California  answered…3yrs3Y

No, we have selectively bred crops for thousands of years and labeling just adds an unfounded stigma to the science and it's the most promising solution to ending world hunger.

 @96FDZGHDemocrat from Kentucky  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, because what if the people put something that people are allergic to in the food?

 @968GN5HDemocrat from Connecticut  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and with increased education on GMOs to remove the stigma around them

 @95ZGS28Democrat from California  answered…3yrs3Y

I feel like they should only so that people that want genuine natural food can pay for what they want.

 @95RQ8Q8Socialist from Montana  answered…3yrs3Y

I literally do not care. It's not a big deal if companies have to disclose GMO use, but there is zero proof that GMOs have any negative effects.

no, because i'm not trying to die or get sick because somebody put chemicals in my food

 @93V7SN6Democrat from Maryland  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but implement a consumer education program to enlighten the public about all various foods that have been genetically altered and why this is important.

 @93SV5W8Democrat from Maryland  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, there is no problem with GMOs but consumers have a right to know what is in their food.

 @93M74TLWorking Family from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92V6ZYCSocialist from Alabama  answered…3yrs3Y

It is a man-made construction to believe that science is harmful in food, GMOs have no downside in my views and people would go along with them if they didn't see an additional sticker.

 @92P6S8KDemocrat from California  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92MSW6DDemocrat from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

At this point in time, GMO's are more productive, and overall better for the environment, so yes the should be labeled, but not discriminated on.

 @924G898Socialist from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but the government should fund unbiased research on GMOs in the meantime

 @8ZC4MDLSocialist from Oklahoma  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZBXTHPSocialist from Utah  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z8TGBVDemocrat from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

No, because it doesn't negatively affect foods that have gmos and they aren't any sort of risk, so they don't need to be labled.

 @8Z2X87MSocialistfrom Guam  answered…3yrs3Y

No, GMOs are the most promising solution to ending world hunger and we have selectively bred crops for thousands of years and labeling just adds an unfounded stigma to the science. Regardless, producers should not be allowed to patent edible plants nor edible fungi.

 @8Z2NTTKSocialist from Indiana  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, I trust the science of responsible food engineering but people have a right to know what goes into their food

 @8YXF5WKDemocrat from Missouri  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YW6RB4Socialist from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, we should know which strain is being used and have a registry for genetically modified organisms.

 @8YRRBBYSocialist from Oregon  answered…3yrs3Y

Labeling or not, the scientific practices of private companies need to be thoroughly vetted by independent scientists separate from said company.

 @8XWKBPKSocialist from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, people deserve to know what is in their food, however GMOs are not an issue

 @8XVNYQZDemocrat from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8VJ77W4Democrat from California  answered…4yrs4Y

Cross Pollenating is GMO and has been in practice for over 2 centuries.

 @8V466XVDemocrat from California  answered…4yrs4Y

No, but the FDA should make sure approved GMOs are not harmful to humans in the short or long term.

 @8V369ZNSocialist from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, I think GMOs "s should definitely be more heavily monitored, and people should have a right to know what is in the food they are consuming. If it is indeed bad for one's health or the environment, it should no longer be produced.
