I think they should be labeled, but we should work to reduce stigma around GMOs because they are immensely promising.

 @9K2SJZ2 from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

All food should be labeled completely and accurately. But GMO's are thousands of years old.. and food should not be patentable...

 @9G7P69D  from Colorado  answered…1yr1Y

No, products that contain carcinogens known to the World Health Organization should be CLEARLY labeled. We have selectively bred crops for thousands of years and labeling them as GMO has already added an unfounded stigma to the science

 @9DL99BXLibertarian from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, label must be detailed and fully describe how particular modifier affect on people.

 @9BM6MGC from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

No, as GMO's has no proven harmful effects, and has been proven to repel harmful insects. It also can make the product better than having no GMO

 @94KH8KH from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, labeling is important so that consumers can pick and choose as they like

 @92WDRLB from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

The information should be publicly available on the internet, but I don’t feel it needs to be advertised on the labeling other than where to go to find more info on such product.

 @8YG4CRY from Colorado  answered…3yrs3Y

No. The government should not be able to force private companies to do things.

 @8XFHMMW from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but the GMOs should have the specific DNA id listed on it to see genetic compatibility.

 @8TWGQNT from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, it might only be important for certain crops like "Roundup-ready" corn and soy, but consumers should always be able to know what's in their food.

 @8THYH4D from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes they should as it’s a natural human right to know what you’re putting into your body, but ad campaigns explaining the benefits of GMO’s should be funded to prevent a stigma from being associated with them

 @8TBRJL9Libertarian from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Required by the government, no, if demand from the free market wills it, then yes (but not by the gubernment)

 @8SXJZZS from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

granted I think it's kind of a lie to put that on there product but oh well

 @8RD5S33Democrat from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes because people do have the right to know what is in the food they consume, but also no because I do agree it adds to the stigma of science.

 @8PGRVBQLibertarian from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

We should not REQUIRE labeling of GMOs - just because something is a good idea doesn't mean we should mandate it.

 @8PDF7L2 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Though it is in the consumers best interest to know what type of product they are buying, the government does not have the right to tell anyone how to run their business; that's what free markets are for.

 @8NZDBZ9 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8N5BCG5 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

No, because it could prevent the possibility of world hunger. But I also believe consumers who are buying products that are potentially GMO's should know what is inside and what the harmful effects could be just from getting genetically modified food. It could also prevent from spreading of unknown diseases to one person to another which could be deadly.

 @8LYQKSL from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

no becouse all food is gmo for example all corn have bean selicted from a barly edibale grain to a much jusier grain that is quit populare

 @8HJSLCFLibertarian from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

A business should have it's own right to choose what and how they label and make there food products.

 @8GT5KSQ from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

In-plant products, yes but animals are being poisoned and breed in tiny enclosures causing them and us to suffer.

 @8D26RZX from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

 @9C38DK2 from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and experimental or novel genetic technologies should also require a label.

 @98DD2JRLibertarian from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

If some people are fine with GMO food that is up to them if not then stick to regular food

 @984NY2Z from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

All ingredients should be labeled however there needs to be more common education on these ingredients to attempt to phase out the stigma against scientific processes in the food industry.

 @8M5GDJK from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, and inform consumers what GMO's are to remove the stigma surrounding them

 @8G2RVN6 from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Crops have been selected for specific traits to accommodate for the ever increasing population. Without it, the population would be drastically affected and the resources already present cannot meet the demand that is needed. The supply isn’t high enough for current demands

 @8F7TM2P from Colorado  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes but educate people on the upsides and downsides of GMOs and how they are produced.
