 @8ZX8JPYAmerican from New York  answered…3yrs3Y

yes, but only if they are certified to carry the gun and if the school board knows about it

 @8ZRNYZWAmerican from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZNM4QFAmerican from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

they should and they should not because if someone tried to hurt one of their students then they should protect them but if not then they should justy keep it under their desk or something

I think teachers that were prior military should be given the opportunity to acquire a firearm after going through extensive psychological tests to determine if they’re mentally stable.

 @8ZGTBLRAmerican from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

Security guards aren't a necessity because some teachers are responsible with guns but I would not trust every teacher with a fire arm.

 @8ZGHG6NAmerican from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

I think maybe some should have them in areas where crimes and issues are more a problem. Not every school should have teachers carrying.

 @8ZFNN9FAmerican from South Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

i feel like if the wrong hands got onto it something bad could happen but if its on them and locked up i dont see a problem, the cop carries a gun every day

 @8ZCXXQ8American from Massachusetts  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z6G6K9American from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8Z487MFAmerican from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but teachers have to go through more rigorous background and psychological test.

 @8Z3NTMBAmerican from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

Hidden somewhere in the room locked up away from the students that only the teacher can get into after taking special gun training.

i believe as long teachers dont go around saying they have one in the room and have the proper paper work and background check and they keep in in a safe locked up in their desk key word their desk no student would no or be in their desk so no harm no fall only protection and i would honesty feel more safe especially if they know what their doing

 @8YLSMFWAmerican from Montana  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8YK5M83American from Ohio  answered…3yrs3Y

if the teacher has the proper training to handle a gun then I have no problem with them having a firearm

Yes, but the teacher must have extensive background checks and make sure they keep it somewhere students cannot see or access it.

 @8XYLCBMAmerican from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XW26V9American from Kansas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but these teachers need to know that in the situation of a school shooting they have to go out and help instead of staying in a room because they are armed.

 @8XTMRCLAmerican from Indiana  answered…3yrs3Y

if they are trained and are cleared from not having mental illness or previous criminal records

 @8XS77WBAmerican from Louisiana  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XQNB22American from North Carolina  answered…3yrs3Y

I think that teachers should be allowed to only if they check there backgrounds and do daily check in with there guns and also there permits

 @8XP9XMYAmerican from Wisconsin  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8XLG4S6American from Maine  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8XKC5NNAmerican from Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

Two or three trusted teachers should be properly trained and armed incase of emergency

 @8XDDLSDAmerican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Have specific teachers that are extensively trained to carry and use firearms.

 @8XCCL85American from Colorado  answered…4yrs4Y

I feel if the teacher is not telling everybody about the gun and is trained to conceal carry and isn't using the gun to threaten people or using it improperly and the teacher needs to be aware of situations

 @8XBX6MKAmerican from Missouri  answered…4yrs4Y

Depends, not likely but in like an area were shootings happen a lot would most likely to be allowed.

 @8XBV8W3American from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

No, you never know what these teachers might do and it can cause a lot of accidents

 @8X377BKAmerican from Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, if they pass the psych test and have regular training for the use of the fire arm.

 @8WZ68WMAmerican from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

if the teacher is guaranteed to be an official user of a gun and have passed a yearly mental test

 @8WV5LDDAmerican from Utah  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WTYNNKAmerican from West Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WS2JBJAmerican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

i believe they should just in case of a school shooting they can protect us.

 @8WRZMFJAmerican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

yes but only if they went through a strict background check because they would be at school with a gun

 @8WPT3FTAmerican from Idaho  answered…4yrs4Y

i believe carrying the gun should be the teachers choice but i believe it should be aloud

 @8WNSGXPAmerican from Idaho  answered…4yrs4Y

yes if they are specially trained and can keep it in a safe out of the reach of kids but in an emergency use it to defend us in a lockdown situation

 @8WNH8HZAmerican from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

ONLY and ONLY if they are well trained and know how to use a gun for dire situation and potential threat purposes like a school shooter

 @8WL249YAmerican from Kansas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but it should be very few of them and make sure they are gun trained.

 @8WKVBN3American from Massachusetts  answered…4yrs4Y

As long as they are willing to be armed. They also must be certified and have some training in order to wield a firearm.

 @8WKR3G3American from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WKQMLYAmerican from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

I think that they should if they have their carry conceal license for the gun and can only use it for protection and nothing more.

 @8WJV5BSAmerican from Massachusetts  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, if the teacher is a trustworthy teacher, and has a gun licence training in that specific gun class

 @8WHYFCTAmerican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WHVND9American from New York  answered…4yrs4Y

I say yes to this as long as they have a gun permit and are safe with them it really could stop most of the school shootings and killings in schools.

 @8WHN426American from Indiana  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WHCBTGAmerican from Oklahoma  answered…4yrs4Y

The school should be armed with security with firearms, but what's stopping a teacher from shooting. I would not trust all my teachers with a firearm.

 @8W9GQVQAmerican from Missouri  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but require background checks and a panic button incase the teacher snaps, and also the gun should be locked and only unlocked remotely in case of an intruder.

 @8W96XLKAmerican from Illinois  answered…4yrs4Y

It depends it shouldnt be mandatory but it could optional for the teacher and they should pass basic training

 @8W6QHLTAmerican from Kentucky  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8W5C94NAmerican from North Carolina  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8W323THAmerican from Texas  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and pay for a certain amount of teachers to carry and be properly trained if not already.

 @8W27VSQAmerican from Arizona  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe if the teacher is extensively trained... then maybe, but if not it just increases the risk of accidental shootings.

 @8VXQGL4American from Ohio  answered…4yrs4Y

I think in my opinion that if a teacher feels as if he/she would feel safer and could protect the students then they should have more paid training and a background check as well with extensive research about the person and their mental state and health. And if they pass then it should be either non-leathal or self-defence bullets, the weapon shouldn't be able to be accessed at any time but only when the office gives a clearance and the weapon should also be in a lockbox and the ammunition along with the clip/magazine should be in a separate lock box.

 @8VTWWQZAmerican from Oregon  answered…4yrs4Y

I think they should be able to carry a concealed weapon just in case of an emergency situation where the use of firearms might be necessary.
