Yes, I believe if we are required to pay and file taxes, it should be free. Overall I believe that the IRS and income taxes should be greatly reduced or abolished.

They already have, and it's garbage. We need Return Free taxes, which many countries in the EU have been using for decades now with much success.

Yes, and Americans should be taxed on GAIN, that is the amount leftover (if any) after mandatory cost of living items such as food, shelter, transportation, and utilities are paid.

Yes, but I would prefer to eliminate income tax for those who make less than $100,000/year and abolish the IRS

Yes, for now, but abolish all income taxation on labor and move toward the FAIR TAX in the spirit of Ron and Rand Paul

Yes but it would need to be regulated by an independent non government entity.

Yes, but I would prefer to decrease income taxes and decrease the power of the IRS.

 @8KL4NTVDemocrat from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

the IRS should automatically do taxes and send a confirmation to each citizen. correct any issues, sign, and return.

 @8HB7BYY from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

The IRS should commission someone who knows what they're doing (Intuit) to make a free filing system, but the IRS should not be trusted to make it on their own.

Yes, but I would prefer that the IRS calculate taxes owed instead of people filing their taxes, as some other countries do.

 @8F2QHZC from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Maybe as long as there are other options still in place. Like people still have the option to use turbo tax or their accountant etc. Also how do I know that the IRS form wouldn’t charge me the maximum amount it could instead of trying to get me the most breaks.

 @8DFR527 from Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

No, the IRS already knows how much we or they owe so they should just tell us and have us pay or receive our reimbursement. We should have the option to do our own taxes to challenge the calculations from the IRS.

HR departments of the company you work for should be required to submit your taxes and either add refunds or deduct more from your paycheck as needed.
