Yes, but i think it should be regulated, and set policies to where it does not get misused and is only used for safety.

 @B3PTFZQ from North Carolina  answered…4mos4MO

I personally would not like it but at the same time it can highly reduce crime rates, but it can also be at a very high chance to be miss used, and the idea feels creepy

 @B25H8JJ from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

yes but no. yes because it for everyones safty but no because some people might not care and dont like it.

 @9YCH6PK from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes but only incases when looking specifically for a wanted criminal not to be used to monitor the American people.

 @9XLPKW8No Labels from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

while I agree safety should be more enhanced ,it should depend on who uses it because sometimes it can be misused

 @9XH6389 from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes it can help but also it can not work sometimes I think they should use it sometimes but not increase it.

 @9X5KW2D from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Facial recognition is still so far from perfection that it's too unreliable now. I think it can be used if only necessary.

 @9X47W2J from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Only in the most dire scenarios or in places that would be high target risks for something dangerous happening.

 @9X44BKF from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, but with user oversight. Facial recognition can be tricked and is not 100% effective 100% of the time.

 @9WSD53T from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

Well it could help people keep more people safe BUT I think with how technology is it could mess up and give wrong person with similar facial features which is a consern.

 @9WRVPRZDemocrat from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

I would say for some things they can but not for all as there will be a lot of issues that will come with this.

 @9WKF3JPIndependent from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

No, that is an invasion of privacy. In an event of terror or criminal activity, but having the ability to use this technology is quite helpful. Having regulations and guidelines for use would still benefit us highly

 @9WH98XM from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

The government should use it for criminals but should need to ask and gain permission from independent security camera owners first

 @9WB7QK3 from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Too difficult to answer yes or no. On one hand, the increased public safety is a win, but on the other hand, people are entitled to their privacy, and there are too many negative things that can be done with this technology by people with little or no ethics

 @9VTQZ3M from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

I feel like there can be more important things than facial recognition to protect public safety although it is an ok idea.

 @9VQSSK9 from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, but we should add protection along with facial recognition as people can steal others' identities.

 @9VLCJJQ from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

limited use of technology to be used in transit hubs, government buildings and essential infrastructure

 @9VC55LF from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

there should be places that have important things and other things that should be secured and allow them to be identified

 @9VBMMNP from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Probably not, it would not protect the privacy of US citizens. But if the government did allow it, no criminal would be able to deny the evidence of them being at the crime scene.

 @9V4TGZX from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

No, because anyone could hack the system and cause innocent people to be killed and imprisoned for crime the did not commit.

 @9V39RH9 from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

While the idea is a good one, in theory, having drones or some form of technology that scans your face so that you can do pretty much anything would cause the majority of people to feel frightened or uncomfortable with the regulations that would be put on them. Even so, the idea is a good one in itself.

 @9TZR9H2Women’s Equality from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

if you are in the system as a criminal then yes just so they know what crimes you done in the pass other then that it should be an option base off what you want

 @9TTTQGJ from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

I think so to a certain extent unless it is if a fugitive is on the loose and they know that they might be in that area or scenarios similar to that

 @9TP3GKNRepublican from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

The government should have facial recognition technology for mass surveillance in only certain areas.

 @9TMHPL6 from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

This is a slippery slope and not something I fully support. I worry about overzealous law enforcement individuals.

 @9TBYHTS from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

Touchy subject bc we have a corrupt government so this could go very south. I believe we should reform our prison system and criminal justice before we think about facial recognition for the whole country

 @9SZXZX5 from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

Facial recognition could show potential in some surveillance, but the privacy of citizens must be respected beforehand and discussed further.

 @9SQTW5B from North Carolina  answered…10mos10MO

it wound not bother me in any way if they did or did not use facial recognition technology for mass surveillance to enhance public safety

 @9W7ZFFG from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

I think this could possibly be good but overall will instill the fear of always being watched and also allows more control for the government, so no.

 @9VRQKPP from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Yes it will help but sometimes people can get smart and use AI or something that can print the same person face and use it

 @9TZ6X69 from North Carolina  answered…9mos9MO

Yes, add facial recognition technology, but ensure that it is encrypted and unable to be stolen or abused.
