Why are they flying it? There shouldn't be a problem because it is not a symbol of racism. The public education system needs to do a better job of teaching history in a way that makes people feel like they're part of a union rather than part of an ongoing competition between races, genders, religions, etc.

I think it it a very important part of history but does not belong on government property

No it is a symbol of racism separatism and treason, it is a product of history and therefore belongs in a museum not glorified in public.

Yes, it is a historic symbol of the Civil War, and should be treated as such. It is also a symbol of Southern pride, not as a symbol of racism.

No other flag besides the USA/state flag should be flown at Government buildings. If we allow Ukraine flags to be flown there, then the confederate flag can too. All should be banned.
