Redesigning affordable housing to focus on "box homes" scaled in mass (e.g. current estimated cost is around $1000-$6000 as home components are inexpensive compared to the land home resides on).

Increasing funding for homeless shelters could be a positive step, but it’s important to consider both the potential benefits and the challenges that may arise.

I think increasing the funding of shelters cannot hurt but I also think there are better places to be spending money

 @9WHHZQD from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

I do not think it will help because the homeless still have to choose whether they go to those shelters or not.

We need programs that arent broken and half *** Its real easy to fail people with the type of systems we have for the homeless and mentally ill.

You can't force someone to be in a shelter if they don't want to, but I always think the option should be readily available.

I think ithas potential to help as long as it is used and distributed properly. However, it COULD lea to challenges like having to create ways to generate said funds like taxing and such

 @9VKG44GDemocrat from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

No, we need to address the roots of problems and also realize that most homeless have placed themselves there by themselves.

Yes, I think increasing the funding for shelters would help, though I think a lot of homeless shelters impose impossible standards/rules on the homeless that plenty are still left on the street whether they wanted to get out or not.

 @9V9Q5MQRepublican from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

No, because most of them don't want help anyway, I know that sounds true but its true.

I do believe that we should increase funding for homeless people and the less fortunate. Sometimes it is the fault of the person but this is not always the case and I believe that anyone deserves the help they deserve.
