I think that if we put more resources into homeless shelters and try to make them actually good places to stay, it'll help.

 @9WLLT7KRepublican from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It can help but lots of homeless people don’t want the help so they will still be out there

 @9WK6Z96 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It would help, most shelters are pretty upsetting and they can definitely improve upon it even cheaply they don’t have to dump billions into the shelters to make them tolerable.

 @9WFGS75 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

it will lead to people taking advantage of the shelter because people don't take them things seriously anymore

 @9WF6Z45 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Lead to other challenges teachers need more money not to give illegal immigrants.

 @9WDP5PC from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Raising funds would let homeless people rely on the government instead of getting a job and supporting themselves.

 @9W7YVZN from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

yea I think we should fund a little, its hard for homeless people to get back onto their feet, especially with house prices and all that being so high right now so it'll be hard for them to get back without no money or a start. So yes I think we should fund a little

 @9W6TQR8 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

No. We need to make this private. Focus on helping our elderly first, veterans second, disabled next. Homelessness should be handled with education from private charities.

 @9W6KGNS from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It would help get more people off of the streets long enough for them to pull themselves together and maybe get a job.

 @9W65VSPDemocrat from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It will help, but we also need to partner the funding with more social programs

 @9W54FJS from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It might lead to other financial challenges, but if handled properly can help a lot of people.

I think homeless shelters should be outlawed and instead replaced with a government funded program that provides housing, food, and other basic amenities, and in return they can serve the government with tasks provided to them

 @9VY3LFC from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Yes but many people won't go to them because of what some of the staff might do

 @9VXMNRDWomen’s Equality from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

 @9VTWX66 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Yes it will help because a lot of homeless shelters struggle because of money.

 @9VTPQ59 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

I do not feel like it could create any real change in the homeless community. They need help getting their life back together not a place to sleep while they continue to fall into bad habits.

 @9VT8TD7 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Increasing funding for shelters must be accompanied by mental health services, substance abuse treatment, & job training.

 @9VPZ4P5 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

it will help but going back to the university debt accountability having free tuition will decrease homelessness by providing more educational opportunities for everyone.

 @9VPWY8CWomen’s Equality from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

I think it will lead to other challenges because homeless shelters could get overcrowded and they may not have enough supplies

 @9VPRW5ZRepublican from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It would decrease funding for other needed social or economic programs, but also make it easier for homeless people to get help.

 @9VNXSQ8 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Yes I think it will truly decrease the number of Homeless people with more funding for shelters

  @plonk  from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

increase funding, the states have the highest homelessness rate out of the 33 countries considered 'most developed'

 @9VNQJMD from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

I think the funding for shelters should go into getting these people actual homes and apartments

 @9VN3DC8 from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

We force them to have shelter, if they wish not to work to get thereself's off the ground, then we shall force them to work in labor camps.

 @9VMXDRTNo Labels from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

I think it may help a little bit but it could cause more people to be homeless

 @9VKRWVMDemocrat from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

It will help if these shelters do not have a long list of mandates such as sobriety requirements, which all serve to draw out and deny homes to people.

 @9VJX83J  from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

I think it will help get people on their feet, possibly getting jobs which could help boost our economy and decrease our unemployment percentage. I believe the benefits would outweigh any possible challenges.

 @9VH6YGCRepublican from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

More funding for more shelters would incredibly help, as less people would have to sleep on the streets.

 @9VGKXZT from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

 @9V7YFNXDemocrat from Kentucky  answered…9mos9MO

Mental health and drugs are primary causes of healthcare. Lack of housing seems secondary.

It will truly help and give homeless people places to live temporarily and get food while they get back on their feet.
