No. The topic around "Transgender Athletes" is something that is not relevant to the average American, let alone average human. Transgender people are a small minority of the population and I imagine it's even smaller for them to compete in athletics to begin with. It's another fear-mongering tactic used by conservatives to rally their base.

 @9WPG8BV from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

Yes. Trans people should be tested for estrogen, testosterone, and muscle mass and they should match the average of whatever gender they are claiming to be to make it fair if they want to compete.

 @9WPBRPYRepublican from California  answered…8mos8MO

They should play male sports if there a male and if there a woman play female sports

 @9WMT9H5 from Kansas  answered…8mos8MO

I don't think it does. The majority of the debates about transgender athletes rarely focus and center actual athletes or groups that represent these athletes. More often than not, cherry-picked athletes are used as mouthpieces to promote blatant transphobia, which is not rooted in science nor in fairness.

The current debate for transgender athletes heavily has to do with fairness and reflects on personal judgement highly.

 @9W9HPNMRepublican from Arkansas  answered…8mos8MO

It completely abolishes fairness and equality, me. are genetically stronger and more athletic than women. they should not be aloud to play against women.

 @9W7WP9Z from Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, in a way. Transgender athletes should be allowed to participate, but only in competition with other transgender athletes.

 @9W6Z8DK from Georgia  answered…8mos8MO

transgender people should not be allowed to participate in the other sexes athletics. it is just wrong because genetically, a man and a woman have a different bodily build, therefore some give an advantage or disadvantage to the actual sex the athletic team is. Should not be allowed at all.

 @9W246CC from Indiana  answered…8mos8MO

It’s not fair but if that’s something a trans person enjoys there should be some sort of section where trans people can compete against eachother

 @9VZH7Z7Socialist from Kentucky  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, they reveal the current misogyny in how women are seen as weak compared to men

 @9VY25MT from Wisconsin  answered…8mos8MO

I think no matter trans or not you should be on the gendered team of your by birth gender so that you do not seriously hurt or kill your opponets.

 @9VXD55R from Tennessee  answered…8mos8MO

Frankly, it shouldn’t be a debate on whether or not they want to participate. Athletes are athletes regardless of gender.

 @9VVNGN9 from Washington D.C.  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, they want everyone to be treated fairly, but people born male should only every participate against males, it's science and same thing for people born female.

 @9VQB9BB from Tennessee  answered…8mos8MO

No. It instead reflects the current state of a culture war, wherein conservatives are in a panic because normalization of trans equality is in opposition to their belief.

 @9VNJBLN from Pennsylvania  answered…8mos8MO

Transgender Athletes are not fair to women's sports at all. These women have worked very hard to get where they were to get beat by a so-called "woman".

 @9VP3WH2Republican from Wisconsin  answered…8mos8MO

Transgender athletes should have their own league in their sport. If there is not a league, then the person who is transgender should identify themselves as transgender if they are going against a person who is the same or used to be the same gender as them. With combat sports, the non-transgender individual should also have the right to decide if he/she would want to compete against the transgender individual and vice versa.

 @9VMNLP4 from Georgia  answered…8mos8MO

I think sports are stupid, and I think we need to allow those who want to compete in them to just have fun, instead of taking them so seriously. Who cares what gender they are.

 @9VJQFV6 from Ohio  answered…8mos8MO

No, it’s people punching down against marginalized members of society. No different than the anti gay marriage initiatives of the early 2000s

 @9VDM69H from Kansas  answered…9mos9MO

yes it does even if they wanna be a girl but they are born a man they should compete with the men not girls

 @9VDFZJ9 from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

I can see where both sides viewpoint and it is a deep-rooted problem. Nowadays, athletes that work hard for their achievements are getting accused of being transgender and I feel as though it speaks volume on the fairness and equality slowly unravelling. This issue of transgender athletes competing will take time to resolve, but it is now causing more problems than solving. I think regulating testosterone and estrogen levels seem like the more logical way to create a fair, equal resolution, but there are personal ideologies about transgender athletes that prevent a real solution to present itself.

 @9VBBBH3 from Virginia  answered…9mos9MO

Transgender men are men and transgender women are women as long as they have gone through the necessary treatments to change hormone levels,

 @9VY9QGZDemocrat from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, one of our country’s founding principles is that “all men are created equal” so why are we finding more “excuses” to make things in-equal for citizens of our country??

 @9VSVW76  from Tennessee  answered…8mos8MO

No, this is so bogus, it’s a terrible argument because there is none, transgender isn’t something that is truth, you can’t change what the Lord has created and it be good, so there isn’t an argument because the Lord doesn’t back it

 @9V9M9MHRepublican from Georgia  answered…9mos9MO

i think they should not be able to compete with their new gender they should still compete with the gender they had at birth

 @9V9Q5MQRepublican from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

 @9V432RH from Maryland  answered…9mos9MO

In my opinion there should be a special kid of sportsmanship for the transgender athletes because some athletes might not agree with the fact playing with a transgender others might accept this. In my opinion this would be fair and would respect the equality because everyone wins.

 @9TX2VZHNo Labels from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

I don't believe it's fair to have people who were born male compete with people who were born female.

 @9VYRVDN from California  answered…8mos8MO

It unfair for female athletes who have to compete against there male counterpart regardless of there transition
