Sports is inherently unfair due to genetics, furthermore studies have shown at around 1-2 years trans women (not aware of trans male studies) have less strength proportional to a cis women. Furthermore there are no cases of trans women (nobody ever brings up trans men in this "debate" so I wont) dominating competition. I believe her last name was Thomas, did well locally but placed 7th in the state

Yes, i dont think trans athlete should be a thing, and if they are, then put them in their own league

 @9WHP9FSDemocrat from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

Transgender Athletes should not be allowed to partcipate, it provides them with an unfair advantage.

 @9WGS9TW from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

No, I don't, because I believe that transgender athletes should be allowed to compete with the gender they identify with, but also it might be dangerous if a 100 pound woman faced a very muscular 300 pound woman who was male at birth.

 @9WDNWR3 from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

I think it does seeing as Sports should be made as fair as possible not allowing others to have a leg up in any sporting activity

 @9VNKN4K from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

It's a matter of rights of the transgender and fairness to that sex, since favoring one would be hurting the other party. Yes, it's important to equally treat people part of the LGBTQ+ community, but its also important to not neglect other sexes/orientations in order to do so.

just don't let men do women's sports. they're biologically at an advantage. its not like homophobic its science

 @9VNK6YL from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

It shows how flawed peoples views are on the idea of fairness and equality, showing how they'll keep saying that we need to support those that are struggling or those facing discrimination while discriminating against others.

 @9VHL794 from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

i believe the transgenders should go against the transgenders, it's not fair that male-to-female athletes are in the top tier, they were born with stronger muscles in their bodies because of their sex assigned at birth.

 @9VB7LPD from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

I think there are set biological differences between the strengths of women and men, so when transgender people compete with the opposite of their assigned birth it can make unfair advantages.

 @9VB7C4S from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

I think it is worse because it is proven to be unfair because usually men are stronger than women.

 @9V5F9PR from Maryland  answered…9mos9MO

The current debate does not reflect deeper societal values around fairness and equality.

 @9V4TLC9Libertarian from Maryland  answered…9mos9MO

I do agree that transgender people should get treated with fairness and equality but I dont believe they should be able to play physical sports. For example, people who are assigned male at birth are just genetically bigger, stronger, and faster and it would not be fair if a person who was assigned male at birth transitioned and did womens wrestling because they are genetically stronger.

On transgender athletes, say for men-dominated sports. Transgender atheletes should not be able to play those sports.

 @9VKSVTRDemocrat from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

I think it reflects our strive for equality on the face of it when we really need equity,

 @9VH9VZDIndependent from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

I think transgender athletes should not be able to participate because it is unfair to the other athletes.

 @9VH3D9G from Maryland  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, cis athletes should not be forced to compete against those who have genetic advantages.
