I believe that everybody should be respected and be viewed as they wish to be seen.

I mean I feel like the U.S. is trying to be more equal with transgender athletes but sometimes being fair to transgender athletes is not fair to non-transgender athletes.

No, I do not think most people arguing about Transgender athletes care about fairness in sports. No one says anything when a very tall man has an advantage in basketball. If people cared about fairness, they would be complaining about that. I think this argument is just plain transphobia.

Yes their should be no such thing as transgender athletes and it unfair to the athletic world. If you are born a boy you should participate in boys sport if you are born a girl you should only participate in girls sports, it is as simple as that, it is stupid how people think and want to be different genders. What is our world today?

 @9VSLLW7 from New York  answered…8mos8MO

It's unfair for a transgender athlete to perform with the gender they identify as.

 @9VRRPQV from New York  answered…8mos8MO

Transgender Athletes should have their own league so they can compete against people of their own skill level and not some who are lower than them because they would just beat them everytime and that's not fair to the students who have trained for a while to get to that stage.

 @9VNLNF9 from New York  answered…8mos8MO

The topic of transgender athletes is a problem synthesized to distract the public from real problems.

Focusing on the gender binary ideals more than equality and equity is the root of this issue. Yes, there are biological differences at play, and maybe having some stricter guidelines in sports of higher professional level would be beneficial (hormone level checks for all athletes, etc)- but having such strong opinions about a binary system is a demonstration of the root of a high majority of governmental issues.

yes, transgender people should not be able to compete in the other genders sport its not fair

 @9WG8TC5  from New York  answered…8mos8MO

I think the right wing is blowing this up into a huge issue to suit their agenda and this is an issue that needs to be addressed on a case by case basis. Many athletes that compete with the gender they were born with have their own physical advantages-where do we draw the line?

 @9VSH2RG from New York  answered…8mos8MO

yes. It is unfair for people in a sport such as a girls sport to be going against teenagers who likely still have male hormones as it gives them an advanatage in ability and strength making it unfair to the opposing team.

 @9VSVJ2BPeace and Freedom  from New York  answered…8mos8MO

I view it as fair because if you're not competing against someone who is genetically built the same as you it is unfair in a competitive standpoint.
