Allowing transgender athletes to participate with the group they've transitioned to is inherently wrong, as whether they are have transitioned or not, biological males possess advantages over biological females in most sports, taking away the fairness of the sport, and destroying the chances of biological women to win in their sports.

1. Muscle Mass and Strength

Men generally have greater muscle mass and strength due to higher levels of testosterone. This translates into advantages in sports requiring explosive power and strength, such as:

  • Weightlifting: Men, on average, can lift heavier weights due to larger muscle mass and bone density.
  • Sprint Running: Male sprinters tend to be faster due to their higher percentage of fast-twitch muscle fibers.
  • Reference: A study by Miller et al. (1993) found that men have approximately 26% more muscle mass in the upper body and 33% more in the lower body compared to women. (Journal of Applied PhysiologyRead more

There should be a seperate league, because genetically men are stronger than women and that would provide an unfair advantage

 @9TY5C2SRepublican from Illinois  answered…8mos8MO

I truly believe transgender athletes shouldn't be able to participate in opposite gender sports. Such as a male participating in a female sport, and vice versa.

 @9VLYCKKRepublican  from Texas  answered…8mos8MO

In my opinion, the topic of transgender athletes does not reflect deep societal values. Men and women are equal, but physically different. Allowing a man to compete in women's sports is immensely unfair and should never be allowed.

 @9VLWK49 from Alabama  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, if your born a girl, your a girl and if your born a boy, your a boy. If your a transgender and you identify as a girl you shouldn't get to perform and compete with real biological girls, its not fair, and it just means in my opinion that you can't compete with your own gender. Whatever is on your birth certificate when you were born is what you are.

 @9WGHCNYRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

Of course not, trans women shouldn’t take place in the same category of biological women. and opposite gender vice versa. It’s not about being hateful but about the legitimate differences between men and women. No matter what they identify as they will still physically be whatever gender they were assigned at birth. At least just make their own damn category

 @9WG6RZVRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

I would rather not have to see trans-people at all so I couldn't care less about the sports side of it

 @9WRVWHZRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

No transgender people shouldn't have even been able to do what they did they were born a guy or a girl for a reason

 @9WPXT6VRepublican from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

 @9WQX7PPRepublican from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

No, if you're a boy you're a boy, if you're a girl you're a girl, its not fair.

 @9WQVKTKRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

Yes. While there are rare occasions that sometimes negate a born female's work and competition, there is hate and self-gaslighting within America towards the situation.

 @9WQ7B5YRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

yes because it shouldn't be allowed a boy turning into a girl and being able to play girl sports is unfair, because men are naturally stronger than women.

 @9WQ4Y7JRepublican from Georgia  answered…7mos7MO

Two gender. Males and Females.. Males play mens sports. Females play girl sports.

 @9WPZZ6NRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

 @9WPY86LRepublican from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

If someone is transgender they should play with the gender they started as.

 @9WPW9LDRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

It reflects a mental issue that needs to be addressed. It seems to only be men wanting to compete in women’s sports. Weak men wanting to dominate women.

 @9WPVQVLRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

I feel like there should just be a league seperate from transgender athletes due to the fact that even though if i man believes that he is a woman, it doesnt mean he is on the same level as them. and vice versa.

 @9WPVDTKRepublican from Florida  answered…7mos7MO

no transgenders should absolutely not participate in any sport under any circumstances as it would be a unfair advantage if a male that has become trans faces a biological female and it would ruin the integrity of the sport.

 @9WPQN8PRepublican from Virginia  answered…7mos7MO

It shows how desperate we are to make other's happy rather than focusing on ourselves. We sacrifice the many for the few.

 @9WNHK85Republican from Washington  answered…7mos7MO

Yes if we were raised to have equal opportunity and have fair sports then we wouldn't have to have athletes switch to make things easier for them.

 @9WPM753Republican  from Georgia  answered…7mos7MO

yes, I personally think the idea of transgender athletes performing against members of a sex they were not born of is unfair for the competition

 @9WPLCZY from Georgia  answered…7mos7MO

It is very unfair a male is naturally stronger than any girl. Males can get muscle faster than a girl and should not comete in a girls genre because it it UNFAIR!!

 @9WPFQSLRepublican from Pennsylvania  answered…7mos7MO

In my opinion, the topic of transgender athletes does not reflect deep societal values. Men and women are equal, but physically different, so I don't really agree with it

 @9WPBRPYRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

They should play male sports if there a male and if there a woman play female sports

 @9WPD84NRepublican from Ohio  answered…7mos7MO

Giving the opportunity for Transgender Athletes to be a thing is wrong due to the fact that if a male competes in an all female game, the opposing team with said male competitor may have a higher advantage due to the fact of increased testoserone and so forth.

 @9WMX68JRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

No. The conservative belief of transgender athletes is not a deep societal value, rather it is common sense. If we created a women's category, then women will compete in that category, vice versa for men.

 @9WML7DWRepublican from North Carolina  answered…7mos7MO

Transgenderism is a result of the government trying to become the father for families. This ideology comes about when families are no longer raising their children, but expecting the government or small businesses AKA preschools to raise their children. Families should be raising your children; we need to stop relying on the government and schools to do everything.

 @9WMJC7RRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

 @9WLJQZDRepublican from Missouri  answered…7mos7MO

It's not fair, its stupid because you are putting a male, born as a male, into female sports and they are scientifically proven to be stronger and fast then females.

 @9WL2QSBRepublican from New York  answered…7mos7MO

No, transgender athletes is an insult to the people of their actual gender.

 @9WKYFLYRepublican from Michigan  answered…7mos7MO

Transgender athletes should not be allowed as a transgender woman has the same muscular system as a male and should not be competing with females.

 @9WL23XTRepublican from Nebraska  answered…7mos7MO

Although they are trying to make it fair and equal they have to think about the competitors and what they are capable of. Is it really fair for them?

 @9WKX4JCRepublican from Michigan  answered…7mos7MO

Not fair for women who work hard for their sport in our competing against biological males

 @9WKXFY9Republican from Massachusetts  answered…7mos7MO

I beleive it should be absolute and entirely abolished as it imposes a completely unrealistic standard for both parties.

 @9WKX69TRepublican from Louisiana  answered…7mos7MO

No transgender should not be a thing. they can have their own group of athletes against themselves.

 @9WK35KRRepublican from California  answered…7mos7MO

I think there should be no debate that transgender athletes can only compete in sports and terms that align with the gender they were assigned at birth. Just because they wanna be a different gender doesn't mean they have the same predisposed genetics as them, making it highly unfair and unsafe for them to participate on the opposite genders sports

 @9WJYRZSRepublican from Texas  answered…7mos7MO

No it shouldn’t even be a debate. Transgender athletes should not be able to compete under a different gender than the one assigned at birth

 @9WJQ3GMRepublican  from California  answered…7mos7MO

I think that Transgender athletes should not play in the opposite sport because biological facts prove that men are stronger than men.

 @9WJ87M4Republican from California  answered…7mos7MO

No, people are too accepting of transgender athletes. If you are genetically a male you should only be able to compete against other genetic males, because it's unfair to women if they have a male competing against them. After all, the genetic difference is still there. They should only be able to compete for what they were genetically born as.

 @9WJ7VJDRepublican from Missouri  answered…7mos7MO

I think that the whole transgender athlete thing shouldn't occur. Whatever gender it says on your birth certificate is what you should go by. With whatever gender you have you should compete against your own gender.

 @9WJ2D3BRepublican from Arizona  answered…7mos7MO

Absolutely, the debate about transgender athletes touches on fundamental questions of fairness, inclusion, and identity. On one hand, there’s a strong emphasis on ensuring that all individuals, including transgender athletes, have the opportunity to compete and participate in sports, which reflects values of equality and acceptance. On the other hand, concerns about maintaining a level playing field highlight deep-seated beliefs about fairness in competition.

This discussion can reveal how society balances the rights of individuals with collective norms about competition and performance.…  Read more

I don't care. If you're born a male you are a male and you cant change that. If you are mentally ill enough to think you can change your gender you need mental help more than anything and shouldn't try playing for the wrong gender's sports team.

 @9WGRXXPRepublican from Michigan  answered…7mos7MO

Yes. There has been a weird fight over people trying to qualify as a trans person with genetically and Biologically they are a man or women, and not the gender they claim to be.

 @9WD7K52Republican  from Kentucky  answered…7mos7MO

Trans people should still have to compete with the same gender they were assigned at birth and that they are no matter what they say or do to themselves

 @9WFMS8JRepublican from Oregon  answered…7mos7MO

No they just shouldn't be able to play in sports. I bet a women on Test has more test than me.

 @9WF9M49Republican from Ohio  answered…7mos7MO

It makes sports and other activities unfair genetically and there's no way to change that.

 @9WF6VNVRepublican from New York  answered…7mos7MO

they should not be allowed in the other gender because even thought they might identify with it they are biologically the other gender (there should be a separate division for them )

 @9WDM2RY from Massachusetts  answered…7mos7MO

Trans men aren't men, and trans women aren't women, and so they should not be allowed to participate in sports of the sex that is not meant for them.

 @9WDKGXH from New Jersey  answered…7mos7MO

I think that transgender athletes should not be able to play against the opposite gender either way because that is not a real gender, and there are only 2.

 @9WDGXJ7 from Illinois  answered…7mos7MO

 @9WDGQQSRepublican from Georgia  answered…7mos7MO

The current debates regarding transgender athletes shows that fairness and equality have a divided opinion in America. Transgender athletes should not be allowed to participate in a gender-specific sport that does not align with their gender at birth due to distinct anatomical differences.

 @9WDCRYBRepublican from New Jersey  answered…7mos7MO

Yes, because transgender people may be able to play both male and female sports, and it is also not fair for a female to be playing against a male who believes that they are female.

 @9WCYC8XRepublican  from California  answered…7mos7MO

I think it does, but it also reflects the deep political divisions and polarization in this country. And it also reflects the extent that unscientific views have taken root in this country.

 @9WCYC8XRepublican  from California  answered…7mos7MO

 @9WB5K34Republican from North Carolina  answered…8mos8MO

trash people should not be allowed to play with females or be with them because in reality they still have wieners and are dudes.

 @9W8GY9CRepublican from Idaho  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, because people all want fairness and free will to do and be whatever they want, but they complain when others have more or are better off than them. With transgender athletes, they put biological males into female sports and then complain that they are so much better than the others.

 @9W8D65M from Florida  answered…8mos8MO

It is not fair. Allowing trans athletes goes against and steps on everything women rights activists have fought for. We need to stop feeding into delusion

 @9W8B9JNRepublican from California  answered…8mos8MO

In my opinion, this debate as a whole is ridiculous. Any person who decides to become trans should not have the ability to compete in male or female sports, as it would give unfair advantages and disadvantages. If a person makes the conscious decision to become trans, they cannot expect to be allowed to play sports at any level where the males and females are separated.

 @9W8C5K3Republican from Colorado  answered…8mos8MO

I think this issue is representative of deeper values, but it is not ultimately about equality. Honestly I could not care less about sports, but it goes to show how twisted up everyone is that we’ve taken this so far. This issue is more about progressing a belief than it is actually about equality. It is a distraction from more important and surface level issues surrounding fairness and equality.
